Dr.App Terms & Conditions
1. Definitions: Dr.App is a website providing video-based support resources to doctoral students and the academic staff who work with them.The Producer of Dr.App is Angel Productions Ltd (239 Preston Drove, Brighton BN1 6FL) who produce the video content and the text and images contained in Dr.App. Users are individuals who register user accounts to access the contents. Individuals can become Users because they are registered students or staff of Institutions which purchase Licences for Dr.App from the Producer, or because they purchase or are given an individual Licence by the Producer. Institutions are universities or other organisations which purchase Licences for Dr.App from the Producer to enable their staff and/or students to register as Users of Dr.App. Licences are permissions granted by the Producer for Users to access Dr.App and its contents for a given period of time. 2. Institutions may purchase a given number of Licences from the Producer, which enable that number of Users to register accounts for Dr.App using individual email addresses. Institutions may inspect the list of Users from that Institution at any time and ask the Producer to remove individual accounts to free space for other Users to register. 3. The Producers use their best efforts to provide content for Dr.App which is supportive for doctoral students and academic staff. The Producers and the App Developers are not liable for any errors or omissions in the content or functionality of Dr.App or any consequences of these. 4. Making changes. The Producer has the right to remove or stop supplying any service or function in Dr.App at any time. It’s your responsibility to read the terms and conditions regularly to make sure you’re aware of any changes. If you use the app after we’ve changed something, we’ll take this to mean you’ve accepted the changed terms and conditions. 5. In the event of any interruption to the availability of Dr.App and its contents, the Producer will use their best efforts to restore service rapidly. In the event of a permanent cessation of service and if the Producer is unable to restore access to the contents of Dr.App for Users within one month, Institutions with current Licences will be eligible for a refund of the Licence fee they have paid for the remaining period. 6. Intellectual Property. All videos, text and images contained in Dr.App are subject to copyright and are the intellectual property of the Producer, and may not be copied by Users or Institutions or any other person without the written permission of the Producer. 7. Links to other websites or external sources. Certain links in Dr.App will take you to other sites or external sources that we don’t control. When you click these links, you’ll leave our app. Because we don’t control these websites or apps, we won’t accept any responsibility or liability for the material you find there. We won’t accept any responsibility or liability for the websites or external sources we frame. 8. Users may access the contents without limit for the duration of their Licence. Users may not share the login details for their Dr.App accounts with any other person. 9. Users agree that the Producer may email them about matters relevant to the contents and functionality of Dr.App. 10. Users who do not accept these Terms and Conditions must not access Dr.App: continuing to use Dr.App indicates acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. 11. Jurisdiction and law. The laws of England and Wales apply to these terms and conditions. If there’s a dispute about these terms and conditions, it’ll be dealt with in the courts of England and Wales. These limitations don’t affect your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, if applicable, and any laws that replace it. Last updated December 2023 |
