The Research Impact Video -
changing the world with your PhD

A PhD contributes to a body of academic knowledge, but should it aim to have an impact outside academia too?  For many doctoral students, generating real-world impact is an integral part of their research.  What are the benefits? And is it appropriate for every doctoral project in every discipline? This video in our series for doctoral students was made with assistance from Royal Holloway, University of London.
